History of the Outdooractive Conference
Outdooractive is Europe’s largest outdoor platform and home of all outdoor enthusiasts. Every year the Outdooractive Conference picks up on cutting-edge trends in the field of digitisation of outdoor tourism and the impact on the content alignment of the market as a whole. Within the scope of this event experts from different destinations and companies will give an insight into the different key points and will show specific solutions and how they can be realised. Like every year, the event programme will be complemented by a diverse outdoor-active supporting programme.
Take a look at #oac18: It focused on data infrastructures, digitization and automated guest communication. Together with renowed speakers and participants, challenges, problems, opportunities and solutions were discussed that are trend-setting for the future of digital tourism.
Let‘s take a look back at the 2017 event: The aim of the event was to make the potential of digitization accessible to destinations and all other tourist providers – regardless of their size. An interdisciplinary discussion took place on how business models, infrastructures and processes have to adapt in order to meet the challenges of digital management.
»Great organization, highly committed Outdooractive Team, pleasant atmosphere and a great mix of theory and practice. The keynote presentation was very interesting, but also the coaster ride (pure adrenalin!) and the amazing food made this event remarkable. The location in the beautiful Allgäu was breathtaking. I definitely recommend it!«
S. Thielsch, Tourist Marketing Neanderland
Have a look at last year’s event: The focus was on the requirements of a premium strategy in tourism, which is developed in different areas: From quality content to ratings and sustainable tourism, to technological evolution and innovation.
»The most convincing part was the visionary presentations of the Outdooractive Team – Martin Soutschek really impressed me with his presentation “Where is the journey taking us? Real Time Content, Street View, Drones, Smartwatch…”!«
O. Vetter, Elbsandsteingebirge Publishing
»I really enjoyed exchanging with people who are dealing with the same challenges.«
